Allow me to introduce myself.
In fourth grade, I crafted my first award-winning short story; it probably had something to do with horses.
One of the first articles I wrote for my college newspaper was about the launch of Facebook. (What a terrible idea that was.)
And for my debut column as the editor of Charlotte's more than-25-year-old alternative newsweekly, I waxed about breaking stereotypes, just so I could mention I once modeled as a zombie in the newpaper.
